Training and Consultation

In addition to therapy, I also provide training and consultation on a range of topics around mental health.

Past training sessions include:
  • Introduction to CBT (2-day training, for counsellors)
  • Introduction to CBT (2.5 hours)
  • Working with Self-Harm (2 hours)
  • Working Sensitively with Survivors of Sexual Violence (4 hours)
  • Horror Films as Therapy (2.5 hours)
  • Vicarious Trauma - Signs and Prevention (2.5 hours)

These training sessions can be tailored to suit mental health professionals, people who come into contact with mental health issues (employers, teachers, administrators) and members of the public (parents, students).

Upcoming Training Sessions

'Horror Films as Therapy: Why Scary can be Healthy' - Saturday 31st October 2020, 10am-12:30pm
This short remote workshop will explore the psychological benefits of watching horror and the ways that horror films can help us deal with trauma, depression, grief and anxiety. It will combine elements of film analysis with accessible, therapeutic strategies to try out yourself.
Cost: £5 (free for student/unwaged)
